So tired and achy - please help
I am new to this forum and wondered if anybody could help me please.
I have been unwell, on and off for over a year. Mainly tirdness and aches and pains. I have had blood tests done and six months ago I was told by iron levels were low, they were a level of 10, and was given iron tablets.
These upset my stomach so I started to take spatone.
Returned to doctors a month ago as my bones hurt to touch, i just didnt feel right and was so tired. They did more blood tests and said my iron level had dropped to 7.
Originally they told me that the aches and pains and sore bones were not due to low iron levels, then they said they were!
I am now taking double dose of spatone, and eating lots of iron rich foods, but I am still very tired, I have a good nights slepp but wake up as tired as when I went to bed and in the evenings I feel so achy, just like I'm coming down with the flu.
My family are now saying I should get a second opinion, but I dont know what to do, I am so fed up with feeling like this, any help would be greatfully appreciated.
Oh and to add to all this, now got heavy period!!!
