740i won't start, no power at fuel pump
I've changed all 3 relays in the e-box (fuel pump relay, main relay and oxygen sensor relay. I didn't know which is which so i've changed all 3).
Next step: I've measured resistance and ac voltage of the crankshaft position sensor, and these seems fine: 505ohm and 4.1volt ac (measured on pin1&2 from the plug coming from the sensor).
The resistance is within specs (specs is 540ohm +/- 10%), but i don't know if 4.1v ac is a good value?
Next step, the camshaft position sensor. This one gives no/hardly current? I measure 0-0.2v ac. (resistance is within specs, 1280ohm). Is this sensor dead? Could this sensor be responsible for a dead fuel pump? I've read that only the crankshaft sensor can, not the camshaft sensor.
Any opinions on this? Thanx in advance.
Edit: Now that i think about it twice it seems normal to me that the camshaft sensor delivers hardly any voltage during cranking of the engine because the camshaft turns relatively slow.
So if all relays and sensors are o.k., my thoughts go to the computer module, which is expensive to replace...
