Car shuts off then doesn't want to start Please Help
Last night I removed the Main Relay which controls the fuel pump and EFI. Older hondas are known to have problems with the main relay's solders drying out and cracking. I resoldered every contact point and reinstalled it. When I tried to start the car it took about 5 tries. Would removing the relay lower the fuel pressure? After it finally started up, I had no trouble starting it up again and again after that.
This morning, I had to do the usual and crank the engine over once, wait a second, then crank it again to get the engine running. This makes me believe the problem is still there since this morning wasn't really that cold.
Because the engine just shuts off and doesn't chug or gasp for fuel, that should mean it's electrical/ignition related right? Does anybody have any suggestions? It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, the car won't start for a while. Thanks and sorry this is soo long!
