HP dv9700 fan control? (Win7 64 bit)
I read a thread here about changing ACPI throttling but it linked to a program that no longer existed. The main problem with the dv9700t is that the fan changes speeds due to CPU temp but the thing overheating is the GPU. I took the computer apart and the CPU and GPU are on two different heatsinks, the GPU heatsink only getting intake airflow. With the CPU cool the GPU can easily overheat without the system even noticing because of HP's pathetic design.
