Chris Craft Catalina build .

Hi all ordered plans for a 42'' version of the Catalina as much as i like to build a 42'' hull this length maybe a bit impractical due to the running conditions of our club pond and guessing hull + batt weight be around the 25 lb range. I have several ? which might make me decide what lenght and drive configuration to use. 1 Im considering competing at scale reggatas several mentioned 32''-36'' length range is good. 2 Single or dual motor's ? 3 For hull features i was thinking running and cabin lights and horn and sound generator. 4 Easily available deck fittings and running hardware i dont want to spend 2 years fabricating and brazing and resin casting deck fittings for a 1950 's cabin cruiser i realize this is a tall order any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Regards Andris Golts.
