Is hemp or chia goitrogenic?

I love flax muffins and breads and wraps, but now I've learned that flax is quite goitrogenic and should be avoided by anyone with thyroid difficulty. Are hemp or chia seeds safe to use instead in baked goods? I'd be sad to have to stop eating these things entirely. I read chia might be a problem but no information as to why. Thanks for any help.
