pins and needles in feet and hands
My wife is 37 years old and for the past month has been experiencing pins and needles in her feet and hands. I see that this may be one of the causes of MS, however, it seems like she doesn't have any other of the symptoms mentioned (vision, balance, fatigue problems). She went to her doctor and had some blood work taken to see if she had 1) thyroid problem , 2) iron deficiency, 3) diabetes (she had gestational diabetes). All tests came back negative, so the next step for her is to have an MRI (to see if she has MS??). Before this happens she had more bloodwork done to see if she has a B-12 or Folic acid deficiency. We are waiting for those results. After the MRI, we will be seeing a nuerologist, and the doctor mentioned that she might eventually need to have a spinal tap.
First of all, I was wondering if you people have expereiced this symptom (pins and needles) alone and have MS, and also if you can tell me if the approach that her DR is taken is the correct one. Do you also know what this could be if not MS???
Thanks in advance!!
