Nervous breakdown and disability benefit

Afternoon all

I thought I had problems with my debt and hating my job but a close friend of mine has just made me realise how lucky I am.

She has had a nervous breakdown and hospital treatment for self-harm.
I am trying to help sort out benefits for her as obviously she is in no state to do it herself and won't be able to work for some time.

She can get Incapacity Benefit but what about Disability Allowance? Although physically she is ok (apart from the self-harm injuries of course) mentally she just cannot cope with anything, even day-to-day living.

Any help would be gratefully received.
