"Brake Light Circuit" warning on check control
But what I have going on is different. When I step on the pedal, occassionally I'll get a Check Control light that FLASHES at me, and the display says "Brake Circuit Failure". It also does not go away when I press the CHECK button, and the light on the dash goes from flashing to solid. It does not go away until I shut the car off. The warning pops up about 70% of the time, more often when it's wet/raining/humid.
I cleaned all the bulb sockets with a spray contact cleaner/anti corrosion agent. I also replaced a few of the old-looking bulbs and bent the tabs to make sure they make proper contact. All the brake lights work 100% of the time. They're all bright, and I'm pretty sure I don't have any bad grounds.
What is going wrong? Brake light switch on the pedal??

ok after driving around for a while my check control light popped up. checked the screen and it said, brake light circuit. stop and check. both brakes are working. turn the car off and on and problem solved. except it happens randomly now. any ideas guys???
