Sore throat with ear/inner ear/sinus problem
I usually post on the inner ear board but I was wondering if anyone else on this board had similar symptoms to me. I was diagnosed with labyrinthitis 2 1/2 years ago and ever since then when I have had way too much alcohol, or got run down I have ended up with similar symptoms which only last for a couple of weeks. However, after a major partying episode at Christmas/New Year I have been ill ever since, although the symptoms are slowly subsiding. My symptoms are:
-mild cold like symptoms
-on and off low grade sore throat
-feeling of fullness in ears
-crunching noise when swallowing in right ear
-On awaking in morning a "heartbeat" noise in left ear
-mild tensions headaches starting from the back of the neck and going over to the front of forehead and on top of head
-24/7 mild dizziness made worse by moving my head quickly, turning round and lack of sleep
-brain fog
-head fullness made worse by moving head forwards
-disorientation/disequilibrium
-on and off runny nose
-Stiff neck and aching shoulders
The doc says I have fluid in my ears and dullness (poor light reflex) although this has imroved since January
She diagnosed me as having sinusitis and prescribed me Nasofan nasal spray which I have been using for 2 months. I have an appointment with an ENT in 5 weeks time so hopefully will find out what is definitely wrong as she suspects vestibular neuritis as well. Can anyone else relate to this combination of symptoms?
