Cannot connect PC on network; asks for user name and password???

I have a home network all with WinXP Pro SP3. When I try to connect to my PC from my laptop, it asks for a user name and password. I have never encountered this, and I have no idea what to put because I didn't set it up to require a password (at least I don't think I did). I'm used to being able to just type in the IP or computer name in the address bar and it shows the computer with any shared folders or printers. When I try the reverse (connect to the laptop with the PC), it connects no problem.

Any suggestions as to why this is happening and how I can resolve it?
