Huge Lump on Left collar bone, neck sore, chest pains...I need advice :(
I've found this forum very helpful so I'm going to start writing on it and asking for advice. I am paranoid and just looking for answers so any advice would be appreciated and helpful.
Last year December, I had my tonsils removed after dealing with years of constantly having sore throats and infected tonsils. After I had my tonsilectomy, I felt completley better. A couple of months after the tonsilectomy, however, I had severe weight gain...not because I ate too badly or unhealthy or anything, it just kinda jumped on me and as of November 2009 I was 45lbs heavier than i was 11 months earlier! I was dumbfounded, so I went to a weight loss specialist who perscribed me to a drug called Adipex (Phentermine) that is used in aiding weight loss.
This drug has done wonders to my body. I have already lost a lot of weight and my body looks a lot better, but I still have 2 months left of taking it.
About a week ago, however, I discovered a huge lump above my left collarbone when I woke up one morning. It was kinda sore, but more annoying than anything. I felt the sensation of it getting in the way when I would turn my neck to the left, and when I touched it, it was just tender but not too painful and it would wiggle around and move, and then get caught under my collar bone, etc. Two days later, i noticed another lump above that one more so in my neck, but this one was tiny. It did, however, have the same characteristics but it is not painful. A week has gone by, and for some reason, that area where the lump is is now very sore and achey. It's not a detrimental pain, but definitley noticeable and annoying. The right side of my neck has no lumps, but it is very tender and sore when i touch it or move it.
Two nights ago (5 days after discovering the lump) I had excruciating chest pain, so bad that I had to lay on my bed and just take deep breaths to keep it from getting worse. I drank some water, and it eventually went away, but it was a really scary feeling. I don't have terrible chest pain anymore, but it still kind of irritates me every once in a while.
The reason I am so nervous is because I have been googling what is going on with my body for about a week now and all of the answers are scaring me so I just figured I would ask you guys and see what you thought. I have gone into absolute detail about my medical history the past year so hopefully that helps?
I am also going to see my general doctor tomorrow for another apt that has nothing to do with any of this, but I definitley want to ask her to examine what I have without just brushing it off. I have had 2 friends in the past year have cancer & lymphoma, and I don't want to rest until i have a complete answer.
If anyone has any advice for me, please feel free to share. Thank you very much.
