MRI results: L5-S1 bulge with annular tear
I have been in severe pain for over 1 month now. Can this bulge & tear heal on their own? If not what are my options.
It hurts down both legs with severe pain in my lower back. Sleep is nearly impossible. I have a rare disorder (full body SFN) which keeps me on pain meds 24/7 for the past 9 years so I do take pain medicine already. I also take Prozac & Digoxin for my heart. The pain medicine doesn't always help & sleep does not come easy with this back problem. No position is comfortable.
Any suggestions from anyone with similar symptoms? I am going to see my dr. next week about the MRI results so is there anything I should ask him to further educate myself.
Oh yes, I am the sole caregiver for my hubby who has Parkinson's Disease with the onset of Dementia.
