white smoke at startup
-Mechanic one did a head gasket test and coolant pressure test said everything falls into acceptable tolerances and can't find anything wrong with the car
-then I had The local BMW dealership do a diagnostic, they were ready to sign off on the car saying that no problem could be found, but they decided to hold onto the car and do a compression test and said that another BMW dealership reported a major overheat 3 thousand miles ago and ended up recommending a whole engine replacement
-I heard that it could be a an oil/air separator system issue
-Another mechanic say that they have seen many other BMWs smoke at start up like mine does and is nothing to worry about
here are the results of the compression test...
Cylinder 1 : 190 PSI, 5%
Cylinder 2 : 190 PSI, 30%
Cylinder 3 : 185 PSI, 28%
Cylinder 4 : 190 PSI, 24%
cylinder 5 : 185 PSI, 6%
Cylinder 6 : 170 PSI, 36%
Cylinder 7 : 180 PSI, 16%
Cylinder 8 : 185 PSI, 24%
who do i believe?? any other recommendations??
